CASS CAY RESTAURANT & BAR
March 24, 2020
Well...as we all expected the restaurant is now open for Takeout and Delivery only. But...on a positive note we can now deliver alcohol with your Takeout and Delivery orders!
As promised, please find our attached "To Go" Menu. This will be the only menu going forward as we sold out of our seasonal menu last night (which was the goal). Chef Dave and Cassandra have added many more family meals available immediately, including an awesome 'TACO TUESDAY' special and 'WINE DOWN WEDNESDAY' special! This will be only the beginning of many more specials and menu additions to come; we don't want anyone getting bored with the same menu so we plan on switching it up quite a bit.
As stated in previous emails, this is clearly uncharted territory for us and there is sure to be some growing pains as we adjust. We appreciate your patience as we work out the kinks and get used to our 'new normal.' Rest assured, we are working through it!
TOILET PAPER- as silly as it sounds, Cass Cay has plenty of single roll toilet paper left and we are happy to add an individual roll for $1.00 to any order! While supplies last of course, but we should be able to get more in.
PHONE ORDERS- having only one phone line has proved to be very challenging when multiple homes are calling in at the same time.
Here are some solutions:
1. Customers calling BEFORE 4pm usually are able to get through right away; call anytime during the day to place your dinner order with a designated pick up time.
2. If you are trying to call and can't get through, please email us here at email@example.com Going forward after tonight we will have one extra bartender monitoring our emails and they will call you back from their cell phones very quickly. (We weren't kidding when we said more staff members will get to keep their employment!)
3. If you prefer to text, please text Cassandra at (203) 994-5707 or
Bill at (203) 893-0199 with your name and number and we will forward to the staff on duty; please no phone calls, text only
GROCERIES AND SUPPLIES- Many of you all have informed us that other restaurants are now getting in fresh food/produce for retail sale in addition to their menu and inquired if Cass Cay plans on doing so. At this time we do NOT intend to offer any produce or meats for retail, please support The Trading Post in this department. The Trading Post plans on carrying more 'staples' than usual and can be reached at (239) 789-3463. With that being said, Cass Cay DOES have some items in stock that we no longer need such as condiment bottles, paper towels, bleach, etc. We also have access to many other products, so if the Trading Post does not have what you are looking for please email us and we can track it down for you (especially those with specific dietary needs.)
Again, THANK YOU THANK YOU for the support... keep the calls coming in and remember to support The Trading Post, Linkside Cafe, and Vic's Pizza as well. This is uncharted territory for all of us! I am certain Chef Dave never would have imagined adding toilet paper to his food menu
At Cass Cay, for those we can't keep on payroll we will continue to provide meals for our staff and their families. However, we are also extending this offer to the staff of the Trading Post, BSGAC and Vics. Please make sure this information gets passed on to those employees that are effected. Of course our previous offer to help our neighbors with financial concerns still stands as well.
Now more than ever your neighborhood restaurants need your help, the Trading Post, BSGAC, Vics and us of course! Anything you can do to support us, all of us, will be greatly appreciated!
This too shall pass. Although it will be a little bumpy, we will all get through it and be stronger on the other side!
- For the low price of $30, we are offering "Family Style" meals complete with sides, salad and bread as listed on the menu. These meals are designed to feed up to 4 people making them extremely cost effective. You will also notice we are providing inexpensive add-ons to compliment the meal...including a cheese cake variety plate for only $7.
For the low price of $10, we are offering lunches (meals and premium sandwiches) complete with sides as listed on the menus.
In addition to the medical concerns we all have with the virus, the added financial implications from this issue have severely impacted many of our neighbors. If you find yourself or know of someone that is in a position where an outside meal is simply not an option, don't worry, we will gladly buy and deliver if needed lunch or dinner with no questions asked. In the end, we are a neighborhood and take care of each other. Please pass this along to anybody that might need a hot meal but is concerned about paying for it.
That's it for now guys...thanks again for the continued support. Please let us know what you think about the new menus...Bill
